Garbage collection

The City of Grand Forks contracts with Alpine Disposal for the collection of residential garbage. Commercial and industrial operations are required to make provisions for their own garbage collection either through contracting for garbage collection individually or undertaking their own disposal.

The residential garbage collection route is as follows: Tuesday Ruckles Addition area Wednesday North side of Central Ave. Thursday South side of Central Ave.   • Garbage is collected streetside Residents should place their garbage streetside for collection on their designated day • Garbage cans/bags should be out for collection at 7:00 a.m. on your designated collection day • Two bags/2 cans or 1 Toter limit/week per household. "Tag-a-Bags" for extra garbage is available at the City Hall, Overwaitea and Black Knight Market - $6.00 & GST for 6 tags.
