


Residential Garbage Collection Information

The City of Grand Forks contracts with Kettle Valley Waste for the collection of residential garbage. Commercial and industrial operations are required to make provisions for their own garbage collection either through contracting for garbage collection individually or undertaking their own disposal.
The residential garbage collection route is as follows:
Tuesday: Ruckles Addition area
Wednesday: North side of Central Ave.
Thursday: South side of Central Ave.
Garbage is collected streetside and residents should place their garbage streetside for collection on their designated day. Garbage cans/bags should be out for collection at 7:00 a.m. on your designated collection day. Two bags/2 cans or 1 Toter limit/week per household. “Tag-a-Bags” for extra garbage is available at the City Hall and Overwaitea – $6.00 for 6 tags.

Refundable recyclables can be taken to the GF Bottle Depot at 7816 Donaldson Drive.
