Grand Forks Fall Fair

Sport enthusiasts will enjoy a variety of recreation activities for all ages including baseball, bmx, skating, hockey, skateboarding, curling or swimming at the recreation complex.

The surrounding mountains, lakes, and rivers provide the perfect setting for outdoor sports such as downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking and water sports.

Aquatic Center: A leisure style public pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness center with many programs.

Arena: Minor hockey, Junior B hockey, local figure skating club, public skating, men’s hockey.

Ball Diamonds: There are three ball parks: Dick Bartlett (four diamonds) for little league & slow pitch; Angus MacDonald Park (1 diamond) for fast ball; and  James Donaldson Park (1 diamond with lights). James Donaldson park is used for the yearly Grand Forks International Baseball Tournament.

Boundary Museum: Located at 6145 Reservoir Road, the Boundary Museum offers numerous historical displays in conjunction with the life and culture of the Grand Forks area.

Bowling Alley: Six lane – five pin bowling.

Curling Rink: Local curling club hosts many bonspiels

Fitness Center: Three weight and fitness centers

Golf Courses: 18 hole golf course, & a par 3 and driving range located at Christina Lake

Library & Art Gallery: Centrally located in down town core on 5th Street

Movie Theatre: Daily showings of current movie selections

Phoenix Ski Hill: Nine runs (vertical 800 feet) with a T-bar, rope tow, day lodge, and concession located approximately 30 kms west of Grand Forks

Seniors Centers: Two centers located near City Park – Senior’s Centre Branch #68 and the Slavonic Seniors Centre

Skateboard Park: Located adjacent to the Arena

Tennis Courts: Public tennis courts located behind Grand Forks Secondary School

Walking, Hiking, & Biking Trails: Many trails for hours of enjoyment, including the Trans Canada Trail
