Boundary Medical clinic (7486 – 2nd Street – Ph: (250) 442-8233) houses the offices of four doctors. The Mental Health Unit is located at the Boundary Hospital Site – 7649 – 22nd Street. Grand Forks has three dental offices and one optometrist, along with a wide range of chiropractors, massage therapists and family and individual counseling services.
Boundary Hospital (7649 – 22nd Street – Ph: (250) 443-2100) offers 12 acute care beds, 35 extended care beds, as well as emergency room facilities. Announced March 2004 – $7-million upgrade of the H.M Rezanasoff Wing & portions of Boundary Hospital. Renovations to include turning current extend beds to single rooms, and build a 35 bed addition. 10 beds will be shelled in for future use.
POLICE

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment has 6 Constables, 1 Corporal and 1 Staff-Sergeant in Grand Forks and 4 Constables and 1 Corporal in Midway as well as several volunteers and support staff. The detachment serves Highway #3 east to the Paulson Bridge and west to the Rock Canyon Bridge along Highway #3, as well as Highway 33 north to the community of Beaverdell.
FIRE PROTECTION
The Grand Forks Area Fire Rescue consists of 40 volunteer fire fighters, one permanent full time Fire Chief and one permanent full time Deputy Fire Chief. The main fire hall is located in the down town core on 2nd Street. This facility was completed in 1985. Grand Forks also has four rural fire halls, constructed between 1978-1986, located throughout the area.
